Hi Sarah, It has been so lovely to read your memories of Damascus. They match my memories of a childhood in Damascus too. We lived out there from 1980. My memories are the same – DCS, the lemon juice at the Andalus pool, visiting Palmyra, watching videos at the British Embassy (Pig & Whistle), the American Marine House, buying cassette tapes of Boney M and Abba, amazing flat breads, holidays in Latakia and Cyprus, the Souks, the sugared almonds, La Vache Qui’Rit, Tang, the pools of The Sheraton, Le Meridien and seeing all the guards with guns! From my safe home in London I would love to return some time to see the place again, and show my 2 children where I spent my childhood.

[…] Sarah Pinborough: Sarah is a versatile writer who writes in many genres, including YA, sf, horror and crime – or combining all of the above. I can particularly recommend her “Dog-Faced Gods” trilogy. Set in a near-future dystopian London, the main character is a paranormal investigator looking into a series of crimes. It becomes clear that there is something supernatural involved. I feel like I’ve known Sarah for ages, because I run into her at every convention I go to. But I think we first met at the World Horror Con in Brighton, less than two years ago. […]

So, still waiting for a sequel to Breeding Ground, as Feeding Ground was more of a companion piece. Do you, perhaps, have a third novel in the works that would bring these two pieces together or should I just write my own fan fiction to your work and call it a day?

No plans for a third at the moment..

Hi!
I really really loved your series on fairy tales you did! I read the first two in a day and am waiting in line to buy the third. Anyway, I was wondering, are you planning on writing more?? They’re really well done and intelligent 🙂
Thanks!
